I swear I've been reading! I only read about 96 books last year, and a bunch of them were graphic novels and manga so I'm trying to read more books with "words" (see also: grownup books), LOL.

1. BITCHfest: Ten Years of Cultural Criticism from the Pages of Bitch Magazine by Lisa Jervis and Andi Zeisler: I really liked this book. It's a collection of articles from Bitch magazine. There were a bunch of different authors and subject that were really interesting. I love that it provided a way for younger feminists, women of color, trans, queer, and "other" to get their voices heard. Of course as always in an anthology, there are some writers that are better than others, but they did a good job of balancing it out. If you have never read Bitch, this would be a great place to start.

2. Eragon by Christopher Paolini: My roommate got me this for xmas. I liked it. It was an easy fantasy read that I read quickly. It was derivative of other SF and fantasy works, but the kid was 15 when he wrote this. For what it is, I liked it. It's not something that's going into the literary cannon or anything.

3. Eldest by Christopher Paolini: My roommate got me this for my trip to England. I liked this better than Eragon. It had more bulk and more character developement. Although, I was getting a little sick of Eragon's school boyish angst. It stopped right at the crucial turning point of course, so I will be borrowing my roommate's copy when it comes out, haha.

4. Fables Vol. 8: Wolves by Willingham, Buckhingham, McManus: I had been eagerly anticipating this forever. It deals with Mowgli trying to find Bigby so can play a part in a plan against the Adversary. There's more, but it's all spoilers.
