I did a little reading while flying. It was movie adaptation theme.

53. Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk: I read this book years ago, and seen the movie about a million times. I just saw it again recently and wanted to go back and see what the main differences between the two genres were. It was a good, quick read. It's much gorier and bloodier than the movie. It's also more in-depth, which is usually the case when books are made into movies. I like his books and read a bunch of them.

54. Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen: I've had this book forever. I got it for like a quarter at a used bookstore that was going out of business. It's a thin book, aka quick read. I've never seen the movie. It was about a young girl (18) who commits herself to a mental hospital for 2 years. I waivered between thinking she was really crazy or just so blah about her life and needed a place with structure. It was sad to read about other young women that just didn't know what to do, or why they were acting the way they did. I liked her writing style.

55-75. Inuyasha vol.4-24 by Rumiko Takahashi: More in the saga about a reincarnated modern day Japanese girl that goes back in time to battle demons for a sacred jewel that can be used for good or evil. It's really engrossing, dramatic, and funny. The love triangle between Kagome, Inuyasha, and Kikyo really gets me worked up. It's heartwrenching.

I'm excited. I got the new Michael Pollen book, the new Janet Evanovich, and a new comic book (The Walking Dead) recc'ed by [livejournal.com profile] brdgt to read!
